Parent Testimonials

From our first meeting, as parents, we strongly felt a peace about sending our son to Warsaw Christian School. Being fairly new to the Warsaw area we were unsure of where to send our children. After touring the school and meeting with Mr. Buller it was so evident that this school is different from any other school we had attended. Christ was at the center of everything they have done and continue to do.  We have seen our son grow in his walk and knowledge of the Lord since he started Kindergarten. He shows more respect, is quick to ask for forgiveness and is showing leadership skills already. We were concerned sending him to any school due to his strong personality but it has been such a privilege to watch him mature in a positive way. Miss Pityer is such a special teacher. She has been hugely instrumental in giving us a peace about sending him to WCS. Our son often speaks with affection for her and has said he wishes she would be his teacher for the next grade.  Financially, we have had to make sacrifices as a family to send him to WCS. But, we have never regretted it. We see it as an investment to guide him for the rest of his life!

Miss Pityer has been the kindergarten teacher for our two oldest children and we have been very thankful to have her as their teacher.  We have spent time in her classroom and have been impressed with the patience and kindness that she has towards her students.  She is very in tune with the kids’ personalities and seems to know each of her students well.  She creates a fun learning environment for the students, which we believe is crucial at that age.  Her love for Jesus is evident in the way she teaches and we value the fact that she centers learning a round the Bible.  She encourages kids to ask questions and grow in the Lord which is important to us as parents.
Kindergarten is an important year for all children given how much change is happening in their lives at the time; going from partial to full day school is a big deal!  Miss Pityer includes rest time, reading, exercise breaks, etc. during the day which help make the transition easier.  Miss Pityer is also an excellent communicator and keeps parents updated on their child’s performance and class activities.  The structure of Kindergarten at WCS lays a positive foundation for students to grow to enjoy school which can benefit them in the long run.  Miss Pityer’s professionalism, emphasis on learning and deep faith make her an exceptional teacher.

We fell in love with WCS the second we walked in the doors 3 years ago, our love for the school has only grown over those years.  We have had two kids go through Kindergarten and both absolutely loving everyday of it.  The way that Miss Pityer engages each child and loves on each child isn't the kind of care that you would find anywhere else.  She is fun, engaging, and is very good at explaining things to the children when they have made a mistake or misbehaved.  Our daughter loved her so much that on her Graduation day she was in tears because it was over.  Our son loves they way she does centers and teaches math.  I love that I can come on my lunch break or spend the whole day with my kids and help out in the classroom.  Our son has grown so much spiritually!  at the beginning of the year he would pray with us at bed time and that was kind of it.  Now he wants to pray for our meals instead of one of us parents doing it and if someone isn't feeling well he will immediately pray for them he loves talking to God and understands more about God and what he is to us.
I love that WCS is a bunch of families making one big family!

One of the main reasons why we chose WCS was because the school places strong emphasis on academics (we were glad to know that it’s one of the few schools in Warsaw that have been given an “A” grade from the State) and on Christ-centered learning.  The small class sizes have allowed our kids to get to know their teachers and other students in their classes well.  We appreciate the emphasis on parent involvement and a welcoming atmosphere for families. The learning environment that the school has created has encouraged our kids to learn and feel comfortable asking big questions.  We value the fact that in addition to academic growth, the school partners with parents to provide Biblical teaching to the students.  Verse memorization, studying directly from the Bible, weekly Chapel, worship and conversations about God and the Bible with the teachers has given our kids an additional opportunity outside the home to grow spiritually.  We are thankful for the many ways that the teachers have encouraged our kids to have a well-rounded education.  The financial commitment for this is real, but we view this as an investment in our children and are confident that it is worth it.

We are first year WCS'ers and I have to say, one of the major differences about WCS compared to public schools is prayer.  Prayer with my children and prayer FOR my children. I am amazed at the difference it has made in their attitudes (at school and at home) and their academics. It is amazing to have their teachers praying over them. I am so thankful God brought us to WCS.

We have truly enjoyed our first year at Warsaw Christian!  School should be a place that supplements and adds to family values and Warsaw Christian does just that! We enjoy the open lines of communication between family and staff members.  This school provides not only an excellent academic education, but also a lifelong biblically sound education!  We are thankful that the Lord led us to this school!

There are so many reasons why we love Warsaw Christian School! First and foremost is the commitment to Christian education! There are not enough words to even summarize the value of a Christ-centered school, teachers and facility other than to say it is optimized when your child attends WCS. There is a peace and sense of ease when you drop your child off for their day of school and eager excitement when you pick your child up when the day is over, knowing they have been in the best possible hands and that their care and needs were met and exceeded. The children are challenged academically to prepare them for the next chapter of their education in addition to being stimulated to push themselves further than they ever thought possible all while being in a positive, nurturing and loving environment. The Bible portion of their schooling will long surpass them long after WCS and the scriptures they study will stay with them for the rest of their lives; and this is a key fundamental foundation critical for their walk of faith. What a blessing this is, as a parent knowing your child is being trained up in the way he should go so when he is old, he will not depart from it. Amen. My family will be forever thankful and grateful for the ministry of Warsaw Christian School!

"We chose to send our children to Warsaw Christian School because having a Christian Education is very important to our family.  We wanted our children to be taught in a Christian environment that would encourage them in their Faith, and a School that would come along side our family as we strive to raise Godly children.  We fell in love with the School when we visited the Preschool, and were encouraged by the Christian values, kindness, and patience being displayed by the Teachers.  We want our children to learn in an environment that is Christ centered and where Teachers can pray with them and help encourage our children to be all that God has made them to be.  We were impressed with how the Teachers and Staff each know the kids personally and we are encouraged that our children are surrounded by loving, caring adults who will help train and lead them.  We strongly recommend Warsaw Christian School, it has been a great fit for our family...."

"What's not to love about Warsaw Christian School?  One of the best things about WCS is that it partners with your family to instill Christian values and principles in your child. What you are teaching your child at home is getting reinforced at school...and that's awesome!  WCS teachers incorporate godly perspective in every subject, because God is at the center of everything.  I have personally enjoyed attend several chapel services while my daughter has attended WCS.  Each one has been encouraging and uplifting in its own special way.  The teachers at WCS are great and it is obvious they love what they do!  WCS is like one big family!  Give WCS a try...you'll be so glad you did!"

"WCS has made some great impacts on my family.  I feel like the things that my kids learn will impact our family for many generations.  When WCS says that they focus on the whole child, they really mean it. Not only do I feel like my children get challenging curriculum, but they are also expected to grow in spiritual maturity, life skills, and other positive aspects of themselves.  My goal as a parent is for my children to have strong academic skills, but even more to be a responsible self-sufficient adult. I think WCS promotes these goals as well. My kids are extremely excited to learn and work hard."

"Another aspect of WCS that has blessed me is the family-like atmosphere that we feel there. I truly feel like we, the parents along with the teachers, staff, and even other parents, are a team working to achieve our goals as parents. When something is falling to the wayside I know that my children will continue to be helped in school.  We have had some tougher times with some family situations this year, and WCS members have been there to lift us up through it all.  It is truly a blessing to be part of it."

We were first introduced with Noah’s Ark preschool when we began researching the area for our oldest son to go to preschool.  I’m a stay at home mom and the thought of my kids going to school was difficult for me.  Don’t get me wrong-I was excited for him, but also knew what an adjustment it would be for the rest of us.  So when I met Mrs. Boren and saw her heart for teaching, the kids, and most of all Jesus, it eased this mama’s heart.  I’m so thankful Mrs. Boren has had time teaching and nurturing our kids.  She loves and knows each one of the kids so well.  We researched most of the schools in the area and I fell in love with the spirit of the school.  It’s family.  And I, as a parent am welcome.  I love that.  And when our son came home talking about things like a thorax, migration, and educated guesses it helped us understand just how much his little mind was learning.  His first experience with school was exciting for him.  Our second son is now in Preschool 4 with Mrs. Boren and our experience is still the same.  He loves going to school.  That is a gift you can’t put a price on. We’re so thankful for the gift of Noah’s Ark preschool and Warsaw Christian!
