E-Learning Day

Parent Information
E-learning days are school days that take place in lieu of emergency school closures. Your child’s assignment will be sent to your email by 9:30am or 10:30am if the closure happens after a two hour dismissal. Your child’s teacher will be available to answer questions between the hours of 9:30-4:30 through their preferred contact number or email. Please allow an hour for a response to your question, and have your child move onto another assignment while you wait for clarification or assistance.
Students have 72 hours to complete the assigned work. For the planned ahead e-learning days, paper work or materials may be sent home in advance for the students to have prior to the e-learning day. Assignments can be completed at school during after school hours in the library with parent supervision or at the public library. For example: If an e-learning day occurs on a Thursday, your child’s assignments need to be completed by Monday.

Teachers will record your child’s attendance for the e-learning day after the 72 hours has expired, the email opened, and all of the assigned work has been completed. Please respond to the teacher’s email and notify the teacher when the assignments are complete. If the assignment email is not opened or the assignment is not completed your child will be marked with an unexcused absence.
