CHOIR

Choir class is an elective open to all students in grades 4-6 who seek to further develop their musical abilities through vocal music. This may include both ensemble and solo work, as opportunities arise.

Students may participate through parental permission and teacher approval. It is the philosophy of the W.C.S. music department that the primary purpose of the elementary choir is to encourage and enhance the singing abilities of any willing student, and, therefore, there are no "cuts" at this level.

The W.C.S. Choir performs for Grandparent’s Day, the Christmas Program, and the Spring Concert. They may also perform for community events, music festivals, or similar events as they have opportunity. Students are also encouraged to perform individually and to seek opportunities to use their voices to minister to the body of Christ.

“Music is one of the greatest gifts God has given us....” ~Martin Luther
