6th Grade Happenings

Some things we are learning in 6th grade are:

Bible: We will be looking at a biblical definition of success, a biblical response to tough relationships, the Holy Spirit's role in the life of a church and believers, a history of the early church, and an introduction to the Apostle Paul's letters.

English: Knowledge and application of parts of speech: nouns and their uses in sentence structure, verbs and usage
Creative writing: students will write a personal narrative and a newspaper editorial

Math: Multiplication and division of whole numbers and decimals, solving numeric and algebraic expressions, integers, and number theory

Social Studies: Ancient civilizations of Greece and the Roman Empire, the beginning of feudal Europe

Science: Our changing earth and God's living creation
